IF MIOVSKI & IDAH ARE AVAILABLE FOR A SIMILAR FEE, WHICH STRIKER WOULD YOU SIGN FOR CELTIC?

With Oh Hyeon-gyu failing to make an impression under Brendan Rodgers, and Adam Idah returning to Norwich City at the end of the season after his loan spell ends, there is no doubt that Celtic will be in the market for a striker this summer.

Kyogo Furuhashi struggled to adapt to Brendan Rodgers' style of play in the first few months of the season, but the signing of Idah and the added competition that he brings in attack has seen the Japanese match-winner raising his game and rediscover his goal-scoring touch once again.

The positive impact of having competition for places up-front is exactly why Celtic need another striker in the summer. This team is at its best when Kyogo Furuhashi is at his best.

The peak version of Kyogo we have seen at Celtic was last season when he had Giorgos Giakoumakis breathing down his neck for that starting jersey, and this is why Celtic should be looking to splash the cash on another quality striker this summer.

Names such as Mathias Kvistgaarden and Lawrence Shankland have been floated for months, but his recent goal against Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final for Aberdeen has seen Bojan Miovski's name on the lips of Celtic supporters once again.

Should Celtic sign Bojan Miovski?

The Macedonian has been in flying form for the Dons this season across all competitions, with 24 goals and four assists in a struggling side.

That would be an impressive figure even if Aberdeen were at their best, but in the context of their terrible season, it makes that number all the more impressive.

Barry Robson and Neil Warnock have both come and gone for Aberdeen in what has been a season where the Dons have really struggled to get into their groove, but the one constant glimmer of hope in amongst an otherwise dull campaign has been Bojan Miovski.

At 24-years-old, he is only going to get better, and surrounding him with better players at Celtic could see him progressing his game even further.

Naturally, when signing players from other teams in the Premiership, there is always a concern around whether they can step up to a club like Celtic, who look to compete every season in the Champions League.

When asked to step his levels up in Europe for Aberdeen, Miovski has never disappointed. Playing in both the Conference League and the Europa League this season, Miovski scored four goals in seven games.

Against Celtic and Rangers in the league, Miovski has also been one of the standout performers since arriving at Aberdeen, scoring four goals in nine games against Rangers, and three goals in seven games against Celtic.

Miovski or Idah?

Whilst Miovski definitely presents a good option for Celtic this summer, if the rumoured fee of around £6million is true, then it could be worth Celtic paying the money for Adam Idah instead.

The Irishman has been a game-changer for Celtic this season, contributing to more points with his goals than any other player in the squad, and despite the Hoops not implementing an option-to-buy in his loan deal, he would be available for a similar fee to Miovski.

Idah has only improved this Celtic team and is almost two years younger than Miovski. With a higher ceiling than the Aberdeen striker, if they are both available for a similar fee, Celtic should look at Adam Idah instead.
