NOW THE DUST HAS SETTLED ON IBROX GOAL-FEST, HOW DID CELTIC PLAY?

Now that the dust has begun to settle following a dramatic draw in the latest Glasgow Derby, it is possible to unpack the action and gauge just how well Celtic played.

Daizen Maeda gave Celtic an early lead and Matt O'Riley added a second before half-time with a panenka penalty to put the Hoops two goals ahead at the break.

Rangers responded strongly in the second-half after James Tavernier converted a controversial penalty, with Abdallah Sima adding an equaliser with just five minutes left of normal time.

Adam Idah thought he had grabbed the winner as he restored Celtic's lead just two minutes later, but Rabbi Matondo slammed home another late equaliser in the 94th minute, meaning the points were shared at Ibrox.

It was an extraordinary encounter, and here are A Celtic State of Mind's player ratings from the six-goal thriller against Rangers:

The FINAL 50 tickets have been released for our event with MARTIN O'NEILL at the end of this month. Click on the flyer below to secure your tickets.

Joe Hart - 6

Hart made a few big saves in the first-half to ensure Celtic went into the break feeling pretty comfortable, but he couldn't have done anything to prevent Rangers' goals which came from two unstoppable finishes as well as a massive deflection.

Alistair Johnston - 5

Johnston will feel hard done by after giving away a penalty for a foul on Fabio Silva, especially after a positive first-half, but he really struggled to contain Rabbi Matondo in the second-half.

Cameron Carter-Vickers - 7

Carter-Vickers was massive in ensuring Rangers didn't get any more than the three goals they managed at the weekend.

Liam Scales - 6

Scales helped provide a calm presence in amongst the chaos that was the second-half, but he could have been a bit stronger in defending set-pieces.

Greg Taylor - 6

It was a real game of two halves for Taylor as he was solid in the first but struggled as the going started to get tough in the second.

Tomoki Iwata - 6

Iwata turned in a steady performance for most of the game, but clearly began to tire in the second-half. He can be happy with his first Glasgow Derby start on his 27th birthday.

Matt O'Riley - 7

It was a fairly quiet afternoon for O'Riley in all honesty as he struggled to really get involved in the game. However, his rating is warranted due to the coolness and composure he showed from the spot when putting Celtic two goals ahead going into the half-time break.

Reo Hatate - 6

Hatate was an influential figure in a lot of Celtic's attacking play in the first-half, but his impact on the game faded as Rangers grew into the contest in the second-half.

Nicolas Kuhn - 5

The biggest test of the German's Celtic career so far came at Ibrox, and truth be told, he wasn't good enough. He struggled to really get involved in the game and will be hoping he has done enough to keep his place in the team next week.

Kyogo Furuhashi - 6

Kyogo had a massive part to play in Celtic's relentless pressing in the first-half that forced Rangers into making mistakes. Whilst he worked hard in his time on the pitch, he wasn't able to get any real goalscoring opportunities.

Daizen Maeda - 7

Maeda made another flying start at Ibrox as he scored within just 25 seconds, pressing Tavernier and forcing the mistake that saw the ball fly past Jack Butland.

Substitutes:

Callum McGregor - 4

McGregor will be disappointed that his error led to Sima's equaliser, but he had his part to play in Idah's instant reply.

Yang Hyun-jun - 3

Yang was brushed aside by Matondo as he allowed the Welsh winger to pass him far too easily for Rangers' third.

Adam Idah - 6

The Irishman made a positive impact from the bench as he did what was asked of him in his 20-minute cameo. The loanee was just unlucky not to have scored the winning goal on the day.

Paulo Bernardo - 5

Bernardo made a driving run through the middle of the park before providing the assist for Idah's late goal.
