The season's end is drawing ever closer, and speculation is already surrounding Celtic's summer targets.
With the international break ongoing, supporters have been debating on social media as to which positions Celtic need to strengthen, and which players the club should sign to fill those gaps.
Two current Premiership players have been regularly mentioned by fans and pundits alike, and looking within their own league instead of gambling on unknown talents from abroad could be a wise move from Celtic, especially with the club looking to fill the homegrown quota requirement for European competitions.
Celtic have missed out on many top players coming through the ranks in Scotland, with the likes of John McGinn, Aaron Hickey, Lewis Ferguson and Josh Doig all looking like the biggest missed opportunities in recent years, and it's about time the club picked up some of the most promising talents from around their own league.
But who are the two players who have been most commonly touted by supporters and pundits?
Lennon Miller
The 17-year-old has been having a breakthrough campaign at Motherwell this season, with his name being one that Celtic fans will recognise all too well after his sensational drag-back that completely befuddled Callum McGregor before assisting Blair Spittal's opening goal in the recent fixture between the two sides at Fir Park.
Celtic did go on to win the game, but most supporters come away from that match incredibly impressed by the youngster's performance, with pundits such as Chris Sutton heaping praise on the midfielder and Brendan Rodgers even making an effort to speak to Miller after the match was finished, wishing him well for the rest of the season.
Motherwell's youngest-ever player when he made his debut against Inverness back in 2022, Miller has been a regular feature for Scotland's youth setups and he has a lot of the tools to become a top player, but Celtic will have to pay a pretty penny to secure his services with the midfielder recently signing a new contract with the Steelmen until 2026.
David Watson
David Watson has been one of the emerging stars for Derek McInnes' over-performing Kilmarnock side this season, and Celtic supporters will once again be familiar with his name as he grabbed a late equaliser for the Ayrshire side at Parkhead just a few weeks ago.
His stock has been rapidly rising this season, grabbing five goals and two assists, and he has recently shown some versatility beyond his usual central midfield slot as he filled in at right-back for Kilmarnock in their thoroughly entertaining encounter with St Mirren last weekend, scoring a sensational solo goal to cap off a 5-2 victory for Killie.
He built on that with his recent exploits for the Scotland under-19s against Italy, scoring another impressive goal despite Scotland's defeat against the Italians.
Dubbed the 'Prestwick Pirlo' by some, David Watson is another promising talent Celtic could look to bring in this summer.
