WHY RODGERS ISN'T FOCUSED ON RANGERS' RECENT SLUMP

Brendan Rodgers will not only be seeking a place in the Scottish Cup final for his Celtic side, but he will also be looking to keep his 100% record at the national stadium intact when Celtic face Aberdeen tomorrow afternoon.

Celtic defeated Buckie Thistle, St Mirren and Livingston to get to this stage, and Celtic will be hoping to continue to ride this wave of momentum they are building up as they look to ensure a successful end to the season.

Given his track record of success at the club, Brendan Rodgers will also be eager to add another trophy to the cabinet, having won 7 of them in his first tenure at the club as he won every single domestic trophy that was up for grabs.

The manager has been handling media duties ahead of tomorrow's game, and he revealed plenty about the current condition of the squad heading into the Scottish Cup semi-final.

Rangers Recent Stumbling's' Aren't On His Mind

Celtic supporters have been revelling in the last two Rangers results, with Philippe Clement's side losing 3-2 up in Dingwall and then drawing 0-0 at Dens Park just a few days later, creating a 3 point gap at the summit of the Premiership.

The momentum has firmly swung into Celtic's favour, but Rodgers isn't focusing on what's going on across the city, saying “We haven’t won anything yet. We can only do our work because you can’t soften up, especially at this time, just because another team might have drawn, lost or whatever. That’s irrelevant. You have to perform and get the result because if you come off it against a team who are motivated and organised then they can give you a problem.

“It’s not how you start the marathon it’s how you finish it and for us we’re improving day by day, looking good on the field, with still lots of improvements to make and performances in the main have been good but still a long way to go in terms of the league - five points is 15 points and that’s a lot to play for.”

If anybody knows what it takes to win a league title in Scotland, it's Brendan Rodgers, and he will be ensuring his group of players are laser-focused on the task at hand heading into the rest of the season.

Scales Back For The Semi-Final

Liam Scales missed last weekend's visit of St Mirren to Celtic Park through injury, with Polish defender Maik Nawrocki filling in in his place.

However, Brendan Rodgers revealed that Scales will be back in contention for tomorrow's game against his former side.

Celtic have been boosted by recent returns from injury, with Callum McGregor returning from the bench against Rangers and continuing to get back to full fitness and Luis Palma returning to the team at the weekend.

Celtic need all of the quality they can get at this stage of the season, and having 3 players who have been performing well this season fit and available will be massive not only for tomorrow, but for the rest of the season.
